Blue Screen of Death (BSOD) consists of the error “Driver Power State Failure”. Main reason of this error to be displayed is incompatible or inappropriate driver for any hardware device that a system may have.

Mostly a simple restart is enough to help you get rid of the problem. For if the problem still persists even after restarting, the PC must be restarted in safe mode, and the problematic device driver must be uninstalled. Windows 8 does not allow users to press F8 or Shift + F8 during system the startup so as to enter the advanced boot menu, legacy advanced boot menu  must be enabled by administrators manually before entering the safe mode. Once Windows 8 PC is started in safe mode, the problematic driver can be uninstalled to resolve the issue.

New and compatible version must be installed after uninstalling the problematic driver.
