If you have installed any devices in your Windows computer, you will require a driver for that devices to work properly. Force Old Drivers To Appear In Front

Before you uninstall any old drivers, you need to first force the old drivers to display up in the list. Below is the step just follow them to do that.

1 – Press “Win + X” and select “Command Prompt (Admin)” from the list of options. Users those who are using Windows Vista or 7, then they can search and open command prompt as a admin from your start menu.

2 – Now type the below command and click “Enter button” to implement the command:

SET DEVMGR_SHOW_NONPRESENT_DEVICES=1

As and when you enter the above command it will force all the non-present or old drivers to display up in the Device Manager list. Once you have successfully done this, you can now proceed further with the uninstallation process.

Uninstall Old Drivers In Windows

1 – For uninstalling the unwanted or old drivers, press “Win + X” and select “Device Manager” from the list of options. Users those who using Windows Vista or 7, you can look for device manager in the start menu.

2 – Go to “view” and choose the option “show hidden devices” to expose all the hidden and old drivers.

3 – Now simply select the old driver that you want to uninstall, right-click and select the uninstall option.

That’s all you have to do and it is done. Using this process you can easily find and uninstall any unwanted and hidden drivers. However, you must be careful not to uninstall any present device driver as this could create problems with your connected hardware devices.
